Shanghai-Lhasa railway on the run

The first train from Shanghai to Lhasa, capital of Tibet Autonomous Region, will initiate traffic from October 1st. The train will be open to traffic every other day.

On September 22, Shanghai set up six windows soly for sales of Shanghai-Lhasa train tickets in Shanghai Railway Station and Shanghai Southern Railway Station as well.

Due to the special geographic and climate conditions of along the Qinghai-Tibet rail route, passengers shall fill in register card on personal health conditions and take physical examination before boarding the train.
